The guide book is small in size and can easily fit into a backpack, back jersey pocket, or pannier for a bike trip. There is a nice variety of rides (short to long, easy to hard) and since I live in the area, I will find this very useful. While I knew that DC is bike-friendly, seeing the maps for the routes and the tips are extremely helpful to planning a safe trip.

As a new resident of Washington D.C., this book, "Short Bike Rides: Washington D.C.," has become for my family an invaluable introduction of the area's numerous bike trails and routes.
