I’ll be honest in saying I want to love this book more than I do. The story is great and matches with an episode so my son loves that but as others have stated the flaps can be tricky. They don’t stay down once opened which tends to ruin them when flipping pages with a 3 year old. I also suggest getting for older kids due to the flaps not closing all the way. Other than that the book is great!

For the price, I was expecting one flap per page - not five or six! This is a well done, kid-centric adaptation of a Blaze episode, not boring or stale like some other adaptation books I've read. For instance, one one page there's a banana or a squished banana behind almost every flap - my son eats that up.I'm really impressed by this book. I don't think a child would even have to be a Blaze fan to enjoy it.

If only my daughter wanted to read another book here and there! We read 4-5 books each night at bed time, and this one is almost always in the rotation. She loves going through every single flap, lifting them, discovering, and popping them back down. I mention the actions because, after reading it over and over and over, the book has really held up well, where others have torn for her.

My son is 2.5 and loves Blaze. This is quickly becoming one of his favorite books because it features all of his favorite characters, and it has lift the flap windows. It is based on the cartoon episode where Crusher steals the mechanic's tools, which is one of my son's favorite episodes, so it's a win all around. It goes over the concepts of friction and grip. Plus, it's a sturdy board book so he can't destroy it easily!

My grandson loves this book! Great story line. Good quality book. If there were more books like this about Blaze and the Monster Machines, I would purchase all of them for my grandson. If you have a child that loves Blaze, this is the book to get.

My son loves blaze and he loves opening all the doors in the book to see what’s behind them. We read this all the time because it’s fun for him. He was 2 when we got it and still at 5 he loves it. Would definitely recommend.

My 2 and 4 year old love this book! Especially the 2 year old. They love yelling “splat!” when opening the banana flaps. Sticking to the words on the page feels a little slow and restrictive so we really read our own version of the story, but it works just fine.

A great pop up book, read and played with almost everyday. An easy read to keep the younger ones interested to the end and an Easy retell as well. I recommend

As a beekeeper that has only one year under my belt, I found this book had some interesting information. It is more philosophical that practical. That's fine if it is philosophy you are looking for. If you are looking for practical nuts and bolts information on how to raise bees organically, this is not the book for you.

This book had a lot of good information. But it's not an all-information source. Don't make it your only book. The book fails to describe in much detail the equipment or tools you will need. The author rambles on and on about the ethics of organic farming and bee-keeping and sarcastically in a round about way discusses why you should make the choices he has made, but that it's ultimately your choice, but, ya know, make the organic choice.I think most of us wouldn't be reading the book if we hadn't drawn many of those conclusions ourselves. Why not to use miticides, not to use HFCS, why to be gentle and slow with the bees and on and on. These are all very good topics and deserve a mention. They take up much more of the book than is needed and in the process the details you really need are lost. I was looking for MORE information on what I could feed (aside from the commercially available products) and how I could control pests organically. I distinctly remember very little information on screened bottom boards (again, lacking the details on equipment) and that being something I was desperate for information for.Aside from those set backs, it's a good book. You will take away some important information and that makes it worth reading. If you're in the fence about organic bee-keeping then read this book and others like it!

While the author seems to be a little 'preachy' at times about the "evils" of industrial beekeeping, he does provide an EXCELLENT resource for handling bees in a more natural and non-chemical way. He focuses on essential oils and 'soft' treatments. The best part of this book is that he explains WHY things work biologically.I would recommend that any new beekeeper first purchase the "dummies" book, read it, and then purchase this book as well. It fills in gaps that I didn't even know that I had in my knowledge base.

The bee population is on life support in the U.S. We are in danger of loosing as much as one third the food we depend on because of lack of pollinators. The large beekeepers spread disease when the hives are transported all over the country. Small, well trained beekeepers are needed. This book address many of the problems, but I do not believe there is any good solution to the many problems facing bees. Research needs to be done. Natural solutions need to be found before it is too late. We all need to work together to keep the population of bees alive until solutions are found. This is a good book and a good place to start the education needed to keep and protect bees.

The author undoubtedly knows his stuff about bees. He has tons of experience and is a good writer. I enjoyed the way he focuses on sustainability in beekeeping and is open to new ideas. I like the way he offers multiple points of view on how best to handle each kind of problem you may encounter, from insect pests, to neighbors who hate bees, etc.

Full of detailed information. Some I've seen before, but the good thing is much of the methods and techniques were explained with more specific details that made the difference in many new situations. Experience is the best teacher and Mr. Conrad provided his to help me and my bees continue to gain more over the long haul. Very helpful.

This is an interesting read, a bit on the dry side sometimes, but it is a book to teach. I would recommend knowing about bees a bit more than someone trying to learn about bees.

A great bee book!Ross helps the reader become secure in beekeeping the natural way.He especially goes into great detail about the pests that plague bees today and how he's successfully found ways to help the bees defend themselves against them.Highly recommend this book to beekeepers!

Bevan keeps writing fun stories about our plucky band of A Holes.What is cool about this book is how Bevan keeps stirring the pot with bringing together different sub groups of the characters.Katherine keeps growing in her skills where she becomes more formidable in strength and leadership abilities.Tim, well he needs to learn from his sister about growing up. (Still)Dave, I think, we start to realize Dave may just be an A Hole... Granted, his "condition" isn't helping his personality.Julian is, in many ways, trying to accept his fate, but he is leveling up, too. In more than one perspective.Chaz, Dense, and Randy all provide interesting things here. It is really great how Bevan is using them to move things along.We meet some new folks this book, as would be expected.Oh yeah, Cooper...He is the hero we deserve in this series. All the way to the end.

I love Critical Failures. I have listened to the audio books 1-5 probably 3 times or so and then 1-6 twice (plus all the d6 books). That being said, I cannot read these books. Jonathon Sleep does such an amazing job with the narration. He is critical to the enjoyment of the books. I tried to read book 6 and couldn't finish, tried to read CF 7 and stopped after about 10 pages. I couldn't even read 6d6, waiting for the audio. I am not saying he is a bad writer, it is just so much better on audio. Maybe I ruined them written as I heard the audio first. I have seemed to like books in written format better if I read them from the start and in audio format if I listened to them first. For example I loved reading, "Name of the Wind" and "Wise Man's Fear" but couldn't stand the audio version and I read them before I tried to listen. Only series I have loved the same in both audio and written is "The 1st Law" by Joe Abercrombie. The audible there is just as good as the written books.

Actually, the fun thing about CF VII is the diverse range of rounded characters and thoughtful development of the age old conundrum about good and evil, right and wrong, and how telling the difference can get complicated. And were-rats, lots and lots of were-rats. And laugh-out-loud moments, too (more lols than were-rats).

Been a huge fan of this series for a while, and have both enjoyed the story, and the author's skills as a writer improve.This one he really outdid himself!I don't want to say anything that would be a spoiler, but the characters have really grown over the past 7 books and 6 short story collections.Now for the wait for the 8th book. Good thing Robert Bevan writes fast.

If you're reading reviews about Book 7, then you know what you're in for, and this installment does not disappoint. The series continues to be guilty-pleasure fun ride through Cardinia and beyond with several laugh-out-loud moments. Bevan is no longer a new kid on the block and getting through book 7 wasn't exactly hangin' tough. I most definitely didn't read it step by step. In fact, I was up till 2 in the morning finishing a great read. Enjoy!

Another success in the world of Caverns and Creatures. While stillVery funny, the author managed to prove how talented a writer he actually is! Great work!

These are the funniest books I've ever read and listened to. Not reading them is missing out big time.

Much like the previous few entries in the series, the book follows different story threads as the characters follow separate adventure paths and regroup. Many of the unanswered questions from the previous two books are resolved, while new ones are presented. Following the trend of the series, the characters develop into more complex, mature forms of themselves without losing the crude humor that makes the series unique. I feel like in many ways this book is a bit of a tribute to the fans of the series, as there are a number of inside jokes and references to earlier works and memes, although understanding these is not necessary to enjoy the work.

We have an 8-year-old son who loves anything involving Lincoln. When I read it to him, I was just as interested as he was, as I didn't know of the real-life story. Illustration and typography are top-notch as well. I can't believe this doesn't have more reviews!

Loved this book. My 9 year old and I both read it and I’m not sure who enjoyed it more. Great story and very cool illustrations.

Brilliant story and illustrations. So unique and creative. We bought if for our child and enjoyed it just as much as she did. Highly highly recommend!

An exciting and fact-filled introduction to Pinkerton and a thwarted assassination attempt on Lincoln.Bold graphics, cartoon-style characters, and a spotlight emanating from Pinkerton's eyes all draw young readers' attention to a topic that otherwise might not intrigue. Then, the narrative style retains readers' interest and imparts a fascinating tale. Readers will learn that Pinkerton, an immigrant fleeing arrest, used his powers of observation and deduction to catch counterfeiters who were working on the island where he harvested lumber for his cooperage (I learned that a cooperage is a barrel business). This ultimately led to his career as a detective, which led him to rumors of an assassination plot against Lincoln before his inauguration, which led him to thwart the plot, which led Lincoln to employ him in the new Secret Service. Fast forward to 1999, and Securitas acquired the still-successful Pinkerton business. Back matter provides further detailed biographical and company history.With many inset pictures, captions, and eye catching fonts, Moss and Holmes intrigue, inform, and inspire further learning. Highly recommended!!! Better than Netter for lab dissection. The cadavers photographs of anatomical structures really helps you learn the structure's location on a cadaver.In terms of learning anatomical structure, this is the 2nd best resource (nothing bets learning anatomy from a cadaver). Prefect resource when you can't or too lazy to go to Cadaver lab. The photographs instead of drawings, helps you get a better visualization of structures, and really helps for lab test.Each page of the atlas contains many labels and structures, so you don't have to flip through page by page looking for a structure. Saves a lot of time!!! Very detailed photographs, photographs are the "cream of the crop" cadavers, illustrating the anatomical structure for easy visualization. So far I didn't find any mistake or misspelling of any anatomical structures, however some names do vary from other atlas/text.Con: There absolutely no text or material content in this atlas, this is basically a true atlas listing out all the anatomical structures. No study guides or end of the chapter quiz (However comes with an online code that does come with online quizzes).

If you're looking for a book for a med school Gross Anatomy class, I definitely recommend this book! Whether it's the best resource for an undergrad or grad level anatomy class, really depends on the depth of the specific class. This would have been overkill, and essentially useless, for my undergrad anatomy class.Regarding med school recommendation: I would definitely get this book and use it to study with from the start. I can't stress enough how important it is to look at real structures when studying for Anatomy. This is your best bet, 2nd to the actual cadaver lab, of course. Animations or drawings just don't really work well at this level. This book is great, because you can quiz yourself or just look up examples of different structures when you can't (or don't want to) go to lab. Do consider that it contains only pictures, so it is just a supplemental resource and you will need to use another text like Grant's Anatomy or whatever your school recommends to learn beyond strictly identification.FYI: Rohen's also puts out flash cards. I haven't tried those, but my classmates really liked them. Also if you buy new, there's an online access code. I haven't had the chance to try mine out, but a classmate said it offers some additional quizzes and resources.

By far the best anatomy atlas for medical school, especially if you have lab practicals with the cadavers. Cadaver anatomy looks very different from the drawings, and a photographic atlas is a step in the right direction. Keep in mind though, it won't substitute for the hours you put into studying the cadavers in person - no dissection or prosection you see in real life will ever be as clean and neat as Rohen's photos.

An absolute must-have for medical school gross anatomy. Has real, labeled cadaver pictures from a variety of angles supplemented with diagrams of neurovasculature. If you're only going to buy one book for anatomy, buy this one. (But I suggest you buy two: Rohens and Netters)

This is an amazing book. I studied with some classmates who had this book and decided to buy one for myself because of how helpful this book was for gross anatomy lab. It's much better than the Color Atlas of Anatomy and is useful with or without Netter's (although the Netter's flashcards are also an amazing study tool). Given that I plan on keeping this book for quite a while I decided to buy a brand new one. It arrived slightly damaged, with the front cover and many pages bent. If this were a used copy I wouldn't care, but for a brand new and expensive book this was unacceptable. Hopefully the replacement comes in new condition. My assumption, however, is that the damage occurred at the amazon warehouse because many of the new books I have purchased this year have arrived damaged, either with bent pages or scuffed up covers.

This book is helping me out so much in gross anatomy. It was not a required book for the course, but as a first time student in gross it allows me to see the nerves and lymphatics at home before coming into the lab and dissecting. I personally like it better than Netter's and it does have some illustrations similar to the Netter's book.

This book is amazing. Five million stars. It's like having an anatomy cadaver lab in the comfort of your home minus the smells. So nice for studying in PA school. Worth every penny and then some. Of all the money I spent on Anatomy study resources this hands down was THE most important. Buy this book.

I can definitely say this book has been a lifesaver! The photographs are incredibly detailed and it's super helpful since tests/practicals are based on real bones and cadavers not diagrams. Most other atlases are great but it's much easier to visualize the info with these photographs. It's pretty expensive to buy this textbook, so I just rented it from Amazon, which is a great deal for a student budget.

The artwork on this screen doesn't match the "brain in a jar" preview shown here on Amazon - and this is not a bad thing. The art (which is on the player's side of the screen) is beautiful stuff, a mosaic of styles from the different eras of comics. It's gorgeous, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The GM side? I'm relatively new to GM'ing with M&M, and the tables presented are just what I need to remind me of the basics and to keep me from having to refer to the rule book any more than necessary. It's an excellent choice for any GM of Mutants & Masterminds.

This screen is simply amazing. Very sturdy and of a great quality. The art on the front is exactly what you'd expect from a Green Ronin product. The GM facing side is very well laid out and organized. I'm most excited about the damage chart that is color coded to line up a toughness save versus attack damage. It allows you to quickly and easily see the results of any attack, something that at least for some does tend to slow down M&M combat.

Item came just as described. Nice construction very helpful in running the game.
