It's a great hackjing book for those not well-versed in computers because it has a lot of definitions of terms. I wasn't really looking for that since I learned that from another hacking book. I was looking for something more hands on where I can really practice some hacking techniques. The good news is that there are some great chapters here that separate this book from the other hacking books and articles I've read. It covers phishing, wireless network intruding and several other sources and tools for hacking. Other parts like the history of viruses didn't cut it for me but I think some people might be fascinated with those because at least the writing is good..
I bought this book because I am curious on how people can do hacking. This book talks about the fundamentals of hacking, the types of hacker and the tools they use. After reading this book, I believe that it is really important to have the knowledge and skills in hacking and be a white hat hacker so that it can help businesses and organizations develop and enhance their digital security. Very informative book!
I always considered hacking to be something negative and illegal.This book ruined my misconception. What is more it taught me to deal with passwords. I used to have problems with them very often. I've learned a lot about security. This information is really precious for me. I know now how to protect my OS and browsing. I highly appreciate this book for detailed instructions that are easy-to-follow. It's a great guide for beginners. Definitely recommended.
I have read almost all the books about Hacking by Steven Dulop and he is a great teacher with the knowledge I have also grabbed from this new version will help me with the new security tricks in securing the systems that I usually work on as a systems' manager and computer programmer.
A good hacking info! This book educates me to the different types of hackers and the most destructive computer viruses in history which i never heard of before.I did not even know those viruses existed.This book contains useful information to anyone and highly recommend it!
The book is nice for the people who don't know much about computers. It is too basic though. The people who want to be a hacker usually have some computer background. This book could be good first chapters for the real good book on hacking.
Wow. This was really bad. No useful information at all. Reads like a high school term paper written by a "C" student, complete with extra wide margins. The cover design is the best part of the whole book. I wish I had looked a little closer and read a few of the sample pages before ordering. At least it was fairly cheap. I just need to decide if it is worth the hassle and cost of shipping it back.
