My wife and I are having a fifteenth anniversary next year, and we're considering a trip to Jamaica. As I was researching Jamaica trips, I kept having Hedonism II pop up in searches for things we enjoy doing. Hedonism II!! I always thought that was a swinger place! Well, as I started reading reviews of Hedo II, I realized that my perception wasn't completely acccurate. Hedo can be that. It can also be a lot of other things. It kept showing up in my searches, so I needed to learn more. This book by Chis Santilli kept showing up as one of the best resources to learn more about Hedo, so I grabbed a copy. I'm glad I did!Ms. Santilli does a great job of explaining what Hedo is and what Hedo isn't. She covers a lot of areas that only a many time repeat customer such as her would even know. She thoroughly explains Hedo and gives a lot of information that's useful to anyone travelling to Jamaica. Her stories, pictures, and the stories of other Hedo regulars she shares are priceless to anybody considering a trip there....and she's FUNNY!!I'd recommend this book to anybody considering a trip to Jamaica with an open mind. If nudity offends you, don't buy this book because most of the pictures are nude. Then again, if nudity offends you...I doubt if you've even heard of Hedo II! I don't know if we'll ever take a trip there, but this book was enjoyable and my wife wants to read it now. We're still probably going to take a trip to Jamaica either way. This book allows us to make an informed decision as to whether it might be at Hedo.That makes it quite valuable. My copy was autographed by the author as well.
This is a must read for a first timer it is great and will put you at ease also
If you are going to Hedo for the first time then this book is not an option, it is just a plain necessity. There is information here that you will not get anywhere else. It tells you that you need to bring safety pins to hold your toga in place. Who would have thought that you'll have a CD player in each room but maybe not an alarm clock?My wife learned that she is going to have to bring toenail polish because the sand on the beach will wear it off (uhhh yeah, that sounds right). There's lots of that kind of advice.The book is filled with wonderful advice. There are also the pithy stories. It tells you what it's really like, without the hype. You learn that it's not the decadent snake pit that a lot of people make it out to be.I imagine that if you've been to Hedo you will find this book a mirthfull book of memories.The books is well written. It is worth every penny.
Ms. Santilli's book, The Naked Truth About Hedonism II, is a good cure for DIF (dreaded island fever or what you feel after returning home from the island).The Naked Truth evokes the island and especially the resort of Hedo II. If you're a newbie, it's a must read to help get your feet wet. If you've been before, it's a wonderful reminder of why you love the resort ... plus you may read about or see some friends.This is the must have book for those considering a visit to Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica.
Not real sure what to say about this old stories but still good.
This was a very helpful book before I went to Hedo II. It certainly disspelled a lot of my ideas about Hedo II and gave me a pretty reasonable set of expectations on what awaited me at Hedo II. As any good board (like Denny Pasternak's) will tell you, if you're going for hook-up heaven and you're a single male between 21-29, then this is not the place for you (try Contiki); however, if you just want to go have a good time, play a lot of games, drink, and enjoy a beach au naturale, this is the place for you. Chris's book was very accurate and on the mark. I'd like to see if she does one for Hedo III.
This is the first travel book I've read that didn't put me into a coma. Each page I laughed. Each page I learned. This book supplied the answers to the questions unasked. Woodies, Wallys, (...) checks for toilet paper, floating members (hell, I've had one all my life and didn't realize it floats), etiquette, all inclusive tipping and much more. I realize how little I knew when I first vacationed "all inclusive". This book isn't just for those interested in Hedo Resorts, Jamaica, or any all inclusive vacation; This book can stand alone for "a good read". I must return to Jamaica to put my new found knowledge to work.... They need me.
This book is an absolute must for anyone traveling to Hedo II or Hedo III. Great tips on what to bring. The stories are amazing and naughty but written in a nice way. Although it is really about Hedo II, Hedo III visitors will still find great value in this book. Many of the activities are similar and the advice applies to both resorts. I can't put the book down!
