About the Author

I loved this book! was recommended by a friend after my dad passed. So many things made sense after this book! Gives you great peace of mind that our loved ones are still with us. A lot of stories in this book were highly relatable. great read
Great read!!! I recommend this book to anyone that wants to be enlightened on the spiritual realm, the after life, or if someone is mourning the death of a loved one. OR even feeling guilty of anything dealing with a loved ones' passing. I became interested in James Van Praagh after learning he's the mastermind behind "Ghost Whisperer". I LOVE THAT SHOW!!! I wish they bring it back. But I still re-watch epps on my Fire Stick. I watch the epps like I haven't seen them before. They are so good.Also, if you want to discover what your spiritual gifts are... this is a good read as well. I plan on purchasing the other books by James as well.
This book was recommended to me by a friend. I'm grateful that he did. James Van Praagh describes his experiences as a medium, and what he's learned about the "other side" from those that have passed. I was skeptical at first, but soon found I couldn't put the book down. I finished it in one sitting. Almost everything I read just rang true.If you have someone whose passed I believe this book will give you some peace of mind. It won't bring your loved ones back, but it will give you hope that you'll meet again.
I had no idea how much this would help me with the loss of my dog, who was my very best friend and only family around. I am so grateful I found this book.
Reading this book strengthened by belief of an afterlife. No doubt our loved ones who have passed are with us and contacting us. He teaches many life lessons that provide methods to better our lives on earth and open our minds to recognizing messages from beyond. I strengthened my faith in God as love. I read the book twice and have marked sections to study again. I have acquired another book of his because I am compelled to learn more.
I have been searching for something to help answer my questions since my dog departed this earth and after reading about the first 5 pages of Talking to Heaven I couldn't believe what I was reading. This book answered so many of my spiritual questions very quickly and it was hard to put the book down. Written by a man raised as a strict Catholic I too was raised with a strict religious background and had many questions I was not to ask or if I did would not be answered. The author of this book seems to understand the human piece of loss and grief and I cannot tell you how much I appreciated his knowledge and relief! Excellent book and easy to read.
I chose this rating for I like just about any thing that James Van Praagh writes about. He is so honest an sincere bout his writings. Since I have read his books with another woman who does same thing it has changed my mind on not being afraid to die for now I know what to expect. This book helps you to understand how to fine your love ones an guilds on the other side. Even though I was one reading it I could swear I could here him reading it to me it is that good. I have already told everyone I know to read this book if they have any fears of death or the bout the other side an they will have no more fears.
I won't go into much detail about the book because I want you to make your own opinion. HOWEVER, I have read quite a few negative reviews about it on here and all of them say pretty much the same thing. Prove it to me, or how can you believe it,etc... There's one portion of the book that John speaks of about how Heaven is made up of levels. Well, the night before my mother passed we were sitting down in her kitchen looking at office supplies for her new business. Now mind you my mother was very religious and did not ever read or dabble into this type of thing. She ONLY read the Bible. Well... out of no where, she said, "Would you like to know where we go when we die? Cuz I know now..". Chilling isn't it?... Yeh.. Once I read this book and saw that he said the SAME THING I was baffled and of course then I started crying my head off! I felt comforted and then again mad because my mother knew she was going to die and decided not to tell me. My mother died the next morning of a double brain anurism (spelling???). No one knew she was even ill. Now I also, know the answer to the question do Angels or people come for you? I believe that the answer is yes. I also, believe a lot of what the Bible states is symbolism and should not be taken literally. Remember, humans still WROTE the Bible with their hands, not God. God merely dictated to them what to write. No weather they wrote it down properly we won't know till we too are on the other side. This book helps you realize that the most important thing in life is to live every day to the fullest and to treat everyone as kindly as you can. That is living a beautiful and fullfilling life. :)
