It's not the best book by George Orwell although it gives a great impression of Spain Civil war, before reading this I had a totally different idea of this period on Cataluña. Something that I took from the book is the basic strategy of military actions on the line in that time, because of the limitations of weaponry and resources being on the line is more about resistance than actual shooting skills.
